Habit Streak

Habit Streak helps you achieve your goals (or New Year's Resolutions). Every day the application prompts you to report on your success at completing task(s).

You build up a streak of habits ingraining the activity into your life

A variant of the technique recommended by Jerry Seinfeld:

"After a few days you'll have a chain. Just keep at it and the chain will grow longer every day. You'll like seeing that chain, especially when you get a few weeks under your belt. Your only job next is to not break the chain"

Habit Streaks has two key advances on the original technique. Firstly it allows you to build several chains up at once. Secondly it prompts you every day (as long as you set an alarm via the "clock" button) to report on your success (whereas one could easily forget to update or look at a physical calendar).

Please see "Feedback" menu option before making feature requests in a review; many commonly requested ideas either are not feasible for technical reasons or diminish the main point of the application.

The two most common requests are for a widget, something I plan to add (but not until Android 3.0+ is widely adopted as that allows for scrolling widgets, a necessity for variable length lists) and to mark things complete as you go (that is called a todo list, this is something different and the focus is on building up consistent behaviour to the point where you don't need to track it).
